Bell, Audrey (1985)  married name:  Audrey Bell Maas
        Audrey and her husband Jeff Maas live in Lemon Grove.  She earned her B.S. in Business Administration and Finance at SDSU and is now working as a Budget Technician for Grossmont Union High School District.

Bone, Marshall (1985)
       After graduating from San Diego State, Marshall Bone moved to Palm Desert, where he was a golf professional for about 7 years.  He now lives in Laguna Niguel, CA with his wife Annett.  He owns an e-commerce development company. 

Bradbury, Faye (1987)
        Faye graduated from U.C. Irvine, majoring in Biology and Chemistry.  She is a graduate student at the University of Michigan, working on her Ph.D. in Biochemistry.  Her address is available from LHS to alumni and friends.

Brenner, Dawn (1985) 
        Dawn currently works as the Marketing Director for BrenTech, a computer networking firm in San Diego.  She has 3 daughters.    Dawn welcomes any e-mail from old friends!

       Deedee is married to Joe Ade.  She is an elementary school teacher in San Diego.

Brookins, Jennifer (1990)  married name:  Jennifer Williams
        Congratulations to Jennifer and husband Greg on the birth of their daughter, Megan Joann, on Sunday morning, August 8th.  Megan weighed 7 lb. 10 oz.  Praise God for His beautiful gift!

Burkee, Katie (1990)  married name:  Katie Campbell
      Katie married Bob Campbell in August 1997 and they live in Port Washington, Wisconsin.  She recently left her job at Schwarz Pharma to become a full-time mom.   Therefore, she also has a new e-mail address. 
      She and her husband adopted 3 year old William Robert Campbell on January 16, 2000.  He came to live with them in July, 1999.  Her address is available from LHS to alumni and friends.

      Melanie is living in San Diego, and is an intern at Cubic Defense (Computer Engineer).  She has promised to send more information soon.

Chaplin, Amber (1986) married name:  Amber Young
        Amber attended CSU Stanislaus and San Diego State University, earning a BA in Liberal Studies and her Elementary  Teaching Credential.  She is married to Dwight Young and they live in Palmdale where she is a second grade teacher.  The Youngs have two daughters, Natasha and Tatyana.  Their address is available from LHS to alumni and friends.

Cianflone, Dawn (1992)
        Dawn graduated from Valparaiso University with a BS in Nursing in 1996 and is currently working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the University fo Chicago Hospitals.  In August 2000 she will marry Brian Kramer and they will relocate to Delaware where he has accepted a position as a judicial clerk.

Coombs, Diane (1980)   married name:  Diane De La Torre
        Diane lives in El Cajon and has worked for the Alpine Union School District as an instructional aide in Special Education, grades 3-5 for the past three years.  She will graduate in June 2000 with a B.S. in Human Development, then going on to get her teaching credential.
        She has two children--a daughter, Danielle, who is 10, and a son, Steven, who is 8.  She would love to hear from all the "old timers" out there. 

Counsell, Heidi (1991)   married name:  Heidi Counsell-Schmidt
        Heidi received her B.A. in music from Westmont College in 1995 and is working toward a M.Div. at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena. 
        In 1999 she married Mark Schmidt and adopted his son Jordan.  They live in Orange, where she is an analyst for PacifiCare.

        Windy and Kyle are celebrating the birth of Cade Montgomery on May 2, 2000.  He weighed 5 lbs. 15 oz. and both mother and baby are doing well.  Congratulations!

       Hans is a practicing M.D. in Faison, North Carolina.   He and his wife Tiffany have been married since November 1999.

Dille, Adam (1996)
       Adam is attending SDSU where he is majoring in Criminal Law/Justice.  He works as assistant manager in a sporting goods store and plays league basketball at NTC.

Dimmette, Julie (1988)  married name: Julie Dimmette Harris-Webster
        After graduation, Julie moved to Minnesota and attended St. Olaf for two years.    She studied in Germany her third year in college at the Univ. of Paderborn and traveled extensively throughout Europe.  She completed college at Point Loma Nazarene, where she met her husband Paul, who is from S. Africa.  They moved to S. Africa where she taught English at a high school while he worked as an engineer.   They relocated to Kansas to follow a ministry opportunity, where they have been blessed with two sons, Glyn Charles and Robert Wesley,  born in 1997 and 1998.

Dimmette, Roxanne (1989)  married name: Roxanne Dimmette - Hicks
        Roxanne is living in San Diego with her husband Brian and two daughters, after spending some time in Israel. 

Dufresne, Scott (1988)
       Scott earned a Behavioral Science degree from San Diego State and National University and is now Executive Director of Lutheran High School of San Diego. He is married to classmate Lisa Hebel who is youth director at Zion Lutheran Church in Fallbrook, CA.  Scott and Lisa have two children, Christian and Danielle.

Dupree, Richard (1980)
       Richard graduated from Cal State University Northridge with a B.S. in computer Science and is now a Technical Specialist for SpaWar in San Diego.  Richie and his wife Emily have been married for four and a half years and welcomed their first child, Gabriel Richard Dupree on Feb. 21, 2000.  He weight 7 lb. 2 oz.  Congratulations to the new parents!
        Emily was recently honored by Cuyamaca College by being named Teacher of the Year. Congratulations again!

        Dave graduated from Concordia irvine in 1999, majoring in Business.  He and his wife Michelle live in Murietta, where he is an accountant.

       Erik and his wife Sandy live in Bakersfield, CA and have two children, Chelsea and Rachel. After earning a B.S. degree in marketing and his teaching credential, Erik became a 6th grade teacher.

Goodman, Diane (1989)  married name: Diane Yantzer
        Diane is currently living in Phoenix, AZ.  In 1997 she was married to Michael Yantzer.  She is currently working at Sears Roebuck as a corporate accountant.   She would love to hear from any old friends!

Gredvig, Grant  (1992)
      After receiving a degree in Computer Engineering from UCSD, Grant worked for Teradyne, Inc. in Agora Hills, CA designing software for testing computer equipment.  He now works for SunWest Microsystems in San Diego.  He married Georgia Wetherall in July, 2001.

Hamilton, Gregory (1994)
        Greg graduated from Cal State University, Long Beach with a degree in Criminal Justice.   He recently graduated also from the Marine Corps' Infantry Officer's Course and is now a rifle platoon commander at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. 
        In December Greg became engaged to Georgia Smith of Richmond, Virginia.  They plan to be married in 2002, after Georgia finishes law school.     

Harman, Derek (1987)
        Derek has been living in Seattle for the last 8 years after graduating from CLU with a degree in Sociology.  He worked in the field of Developmental Disabilities with adults and is now a first-year seminary student working toward ordination in the ELCA.   He spent 5 months in Europe before starting seminary.

Hebel, Elisa (1988) married name: Lisa Dufresne
       Lisa graduated from Concordia Irvine in Liberal Studies and English.  She is married to Scott Dufresne and serves as youth director at Zion Lutheran Church in Fallbrook.  They have a boy named Christian, born in 1998, and a daughter, Danielle, born in 2000.

Henderson, Donald  (1987)
       Don is living in La Mesa and teaching advanced 3-D animation courses at Grossmont High School and in the district's ROP program.  He was recently honored by the Smithsonian Institution when they chose his course description and materials to be part of the national museum's permanent research collection.  A recent article in the San Diego Union Tribune reported on his accomplishments (see 10/22/99 edition, p.        Judy received her BA in Journalism/Radio TV News from San Diego State and is now a channel produced for an internet company.  She is to be married to Scott Thomas in the summer of 2000.

Hooper, Jeff (1990)
       Jeff graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1995 and is currently employed in La Jolla at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) as a Financial Analyst working on mergers, acquisitions, and stock price valuations.  He is due to graduate from USD's MBA program with an emphasis in Finance.        Reid has just begun undergraduate studies at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.  He is also playing on the JV golf team there and having great time there.  He is planning on returning to San Diego to work this summer.*

Johnson, Edward (Ted) (1982)
      Ted is a teacher in the Federal Prisons and will graduate from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton in the year 2000.   He is serving his second year of a 4-year term as trustee on Romaland School District Board of Trustees.  He and his wife Debbie live in Romaland and have four children--Megan (10), Trey (8), Lindsey (6), and Kimberly (3).

Jones, Heather (1990)  married name:  Heather Jackson
        Heather is married to Sean Jackson and they live in Santee.  She attended Grossmont College and Cal State University Fullerton, majoring in Communications.  
        On February 2, 2000, Heather had a baby girl named Savannah Dawn Jackson.  She weighed 7 lbs 8.6 oz, and was 19 inches. She just celebrated her 1st birthday.

Klagge, Keith (1982) 
        Keith Klagge and Stacy Seeman were married on November 24, 2000 in a private ceremony. After not having seen each other in 18 years, they became reacquainted at Cal's 25th Anniversary Homecoming game. They currently live in Rancho Penasquitos and each have a child.

Klagge, Kristine (1985)  married name:  Kristine Klagge Collins
        Kristine graduated from SDSU in 1990 with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She is married to Brent and they have a son, Joshua, who was born in October, 2001. In 2005, they pulled up their native California roots and moved to Georgia! Kristine still works part time as a nurse in the recovery room, but is in the process of becoming a medical transcriptionist so she can work from home! Krause, Andrew (1984)
        After graduating from Concordia University in Seward Nebraska, Andrew returned home and continued working at Sea World of San Diego. After 18 years at Sea World he changed jobs and currently works at San Dieguito Trophy (www.sdtrophy.com) in Encinitas, California. He was married in 2002 to LHS Alum, Hanne Norby, '88 and they are expecting their first child in July 2007.

Krause, Peter
        Peter is still in San Diego, working as a technician for L3 Communications LINK simulation and training.  He maintains computer and electronic systems related to F/A-18 flight simulators that the Marines and Navy use for flight and weapons training.  He has been working on flight simulations devices for the last 12+ years.  He keeps himself busy on the side doing computer consulting, graphic art work, glass blowing, and riding his motorcycle. He is married to Katie and they have a son, Matthew.

Lejeck, Todd (1989)
        Todd currently manages a private patrol company here in San Diego and is living in Old Town. He has two children, one son and one daughter.

Limmer, Jeff (1981)
        Jeff graduated from Concordia University, Seward NE in 1985 majoring in Math and Physics.  He met his wife Rebecca there.  He taught Physics for 10 years at Fort Wayne Lutheran High School and earned a Master's in Medical Physics from the University of Wisconsin.  He is living happily in north-central Wisconsin, and has 3 children:  Alyssa (88), Aaron (90), and Alexandra (93).  He would love to hear from any of his old high school friends.  

Lodge, Karla (1985)
        Karla received her BS in Biology and Psychology from Arizona State University.  She now lives in Scottsdale, AZ and is a student in a Physicians Assistant program, working toward her MA degree.  Her address is available from LHS to alumni and friends.

Neal, Janell  (1988)  married name:  Janell Moore   
        Janell graduated from San Diego State with a degree in Liberal Studies and minor in History, then received her teaching credential from United States International University and taught at Parkway Middle School for 6 years.  Since the birth of her second son, she is a stay-at-home mom and loves every minute of it.  She also does some private tutoring in the evenings.  Her husband Jason graduated from San Diego State with a degree in Econmics and now works as an Investment Banker and Equities Trader.  They have two children, C.J. who is 9 and Jonah who is 6 months.

Nehrkorn, Jill  (1992)
        After graduation, Jill attended several different colleges/universities until ending up at USD, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree in 1997.  She is currently the Corporate Controller for a publicly traded company located in Scripps Ranch.

Nehrkorn, Kari  (1989)
        After graduating from Point Loma Nazarene University with a degree in Social Work, Kari earned her MSW degree in 1998.   She currently lives in Escondido and works at Rancho Jireh Foster Homes and is also a Mary Kay consultant. In May of 2000, Kari married Tom Crittenden.

Norby, Hanne (1988)
        After teaching and coaching positions at Palm Beach Atlantic College and Lutheran High Schools in St. Charles, MO and Orange,CA,   Hanne has returned to Lutheran High San Diego where she serves as the Principal. In 2002 she married fellow LHS alum, Andrew Krause, '84. She and Andrew are expecting their first child in July 2007.

Onnen, Elizabeth (1991) married name:  Elizabeth Fortna
        Elizabeth married her high school sweetheart, Dale Fortna in September 1997 and they live in El Cajon.  She is a Registered Dental Assistant studying for her degree in Dental Hygiene.  

Pasimio, Elizabeth (1998)
        Elizabeth is a freshman at Scripps College, majoring in Biology and minoring in Women's Studies.   She is also doing work/study at the Asian Student Union.  She recently was back home to perform the honor of crowning the new LHS Homecoming Queen.  Her address is available from LHS for alumni and friends.

Payne, John (1983)
        John and his wife Michelle are celebrating 10 years of marriage this year.  They live in Lakeside and have two daughters, Rachel (7) and Maeve (8 months).  Johnny is a Registered Nurse in the ICU and ER at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido and is currently back in school working on a Master's degree in Nursing.

Peregoy, Nathan (1999)
        Nathan is currently in his sophomore year at Concordia University Nebraska.  In addition to his studies (pre-seminary) he is a Resident Assistant (RA), member of the choir and praise team and also captain of the debate team.  Nathan's family made the move to St. Louis, MO, this summer and he is looking forward to building relationships with the ministry team at St. John's Lutheran Church, Ellisville, as he develops his gift of service. 

Petrie, Kyle (1988)  
        Kyle is married to Windy (Counsell, 1989) they recently were blessed by the birth of Cade Montgomery on May 2, 2000.  He weighed 5 lbs. 15 oz. and both mother and baby are doing well.   Congratulations! 

Plapp, Jonathan (1990)
Jonathan has been married for 4 1/2 years to his lovely bride, Shannon.  She is an English Teacher at Taft Middle School, and a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University.  They live in Del Cerro near Cowles mountain, and attend Canyon View Christian Fellowship in Tierrasanta.  Jonathan enjoys an active lifestyle and travels as much as he can.  Most recently he led a 27 mile backpacking trip across Yosemite and hiking 60 miles across the Andes mountains in Peru, ascending to 15,500 feet. 
He has been a Journeyman Carpenter for the last 10 years.  He has built/remodeled/maintained many schools, and other civil structures, custom homes, resorts, and the Navy Marine Mammal facilities in Point Loma, Coronado,and San Clemente Island.  He also was involved in the rebuilding of the USS Dolphin submarine and many other Government Contracting Projects. 

Rausch, Lisa (1982)
        Lisa lives in San Diego and works as an electrician and construction foreman and for Ace Parking.

Sardella, Dawn (1988)  married name: Dawn Sardella-Ayres
        Dawn graduated from Pitzer College in Los Angeles with a degree in English Lit, and went on to complete a one-year accelerated Master's program at the Univ. of Pennsylvania last year.  She married Dan Sardella-Ayres in 1997 and they currently live in New York City, with their sights on moving to London in the near future.  She works for Pearson Publishing in New York and writes both fiction and critical reviews in her spare time.  Dawn has applied for Ph.D. programs in English but may take another year off and enjoy work and New York City first.
She writes that her old classmates may be amused to know that the only thing about her that hasn't changed since LHS days is that she is still a rabid Duran Duran fan--in fact, she met Dan through a Duran fan club.  They are presently "enjoying a child-free environment."

Schell, Steven (1991)
        Steve earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from SDSU and is a Police Officer with the City of San Diego.  He and Stacey were married in February 1999.  Their address is available from LHS to alumni and friends.

        Christie married Paul Petersen in 1991 and they live in Chesapeake, Virginia where Christie is a fourth grade teacher.  They have a son Andrew and a daughter Rachael.

        Sara is married to Tom Zimmerly and they live in San Diego with their two-year old son, Joseph.  Sarah works as an accountant for Home Depot Expo and has been involved in planning the LHS 25th anniversary events this year!

        Richard and his wife Christy were married in July 1998.  He is working as an Environmental Geologist in Columbia, Maryland, after graduating from California Lutheran University.  Their son, William Perry Swartz, was born May 31, 1999.  He weighed in at 10 lb. 10 oz. and has his mother's red hair.

Szczypiorski, Shelley (1993)  married name: Shelley Girod
        Shelley was married on April 24, 2004 to Martin Girod in Lake Havasu City at the London Bridge Resort. They have a beautiful daughter named Katlyn Ann and she has a step daughter named Kelsey. She is currently working in the mortgage industry as a funder and lives in Redlands, CA. Tomkins, Benjamin (1988)
        Ben is working in the San Francisco area as editor of a monthly architecture magazine and publishing an annual literary journal on the side.  He got his BA in English and Journalism in Missouri.

Tuchscher, Claudia (1983)  married name: Denise Pruvost
        Claudia is living in Paris with her husband Jean-Luc Provost. She is in San Diego at least 3 to 4 times a year and would love to hear from former classmates.

Tuchscher, Terrese (1980)  married name: Terrese Bistritz
        Terrese is married to Mike Bistritz and they live in Shaker Heights, Ohio with their two boys, Sam (3) and Jack (2). 

Van Mouwerik, Amy (1987) married name: Amy Glenn
        Amy received her B.S. in mathematics from Cal Poly S.L.O. and worked as an engineer for Lockheed-Martin in Boulder, Colorado until 1997.  She married Scott Glenn in 1993 and they lived in Colorado until moving back to San Diego the end of 1998.  They have one daughter, Abigail, and are expecting a second child in April 2000. She is enjoying the profession of 'full-time mommy.'

Walz, Robert (1987)
        Robert is living in Spokane, WA. In the summer of 2000 he received his MA in Education from Concordia University, Seward and then accepted a position as a first grade teacher and Athletic Director at Spokane Lutheran School.  His address is available from LHS to alumni and friends.

Weber, Jennifer (1992)
       Jennifer graduated from Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska in 1997 with a BS degree in elementary and secondary education.  She is currently teaching junior high students at Christ Lutheran School in Phoenix, Arizona.

Weselis, Cara (1996)  married name Cara Giles
       Cara and Joshua Giles were married on June 24, 2000 and will be living in Corona, CA.   Cara graduated from Concordia Univ. in May.  Congratulations to Cara and Joshua!

Widman, Rachel (1979) married name Rachel Wohlfeil
        Rachel attended Christ College Irvine and San Diego State University and now lives with her husband Joel who is an attorney and their three children (Ben 16, Jake 14, and Clare 10) near San Diego State.  She works with Joel in his law office.

Young, Grace (1985)
       Grace earned degrees in English Literature before 1800 and Fashion Design and now works as a clothing designer. 
        She just recently started her own clothing line: Grace Young Collection.  She is also working on making a website for these products: gycollection.com.

Young, Tammy (1984)  married name: Tammy Martin
       Tammy and her husband Thomas have been married since October 1999 and live in Reno.  She is a Service Cashier in a Chevy Dealership and he works for a construction company.   Since graduating from LHS Tammy has lived in six cities!
